Cute Kid Pix October 2018

More photos that didn't make it to their own post...

One of the local communities has a food truck every first Friday of the month. This month it was a waffle truck, so I took the preschooler for a fun lunch. Unfortunately, the truck was in the community's pool parking lot. The pool was closed in October and no seating was available outside. We had planned to go to the library after lunch, so we drove over and hoped to eat at their outside tables. Even more unfortunately, drizzle started falling once we arrived at the library. We ate in the van instead. Most unfortunately, we forgot to save some for Mom, so she didn't get to sample the yummy goods on offer.

Waffle truck is really a van and trailer

The local social hall had a contra dance one Saturday night. We hired a babysitter and were able to enjoy a night out on our own. Only seven other couples showed up, so hopefully they can drum up more business to keep the dances going.

Not really a cute picture, but an important story. In an attempt to help us with our Halloween decorating, a big spider made a web right outside our back door!

Yikes!

We were pretty sure he wasn't poisonous. Eventually he had to be evicted, a duty that fell to me as Dad. I walked around from the front to take down the web. I didn't want him accidentally making it into the house!

We haven't gotten to the library for story time much this month since my prescholar has started a preschool program--Marshmallow Math. They did a marshmallow craft but it was gone before I could get a picture of it. Here's a Halloween craft from the class.

Target had some random promotion going on. My youngest wanted a photo with the Paw Patrol photo op spot.

Looking cute

I was randomly surfing on Amazon and found an amazing recommendation for Child Safety Car Seats. It was three days before Halloween, maybe that explains why they suggest a Chupacabra to protect your kids.

Really, Amazon?

We eventually made it to the library. They had a storytime series called "Fall into Science." We managed to make it to the last class. The theme was nocturnal animals, so owl and bat stories were the main attraction. We made a fun owl puppet.
