We returned to our old home town,
Harrogate, as part of our Europe trip.
We walked by our old homes. The kids don't remember (we left when they were 5, 4, and in Mom's tummy) but we parents have fond memories.

Our first home |
Our second home |
In between the two houses is a playground that we visited many times. Our youngest enjoyed reliving the older kids' memories!
Climbing high |
Close up |
One part we called the
Ninja Warrior course. The youngest was up for that challenge too!
Many tricky obstacles |
Some careful balancing |
The most amazing playground in Harrogate is
Valley Gardens, a large park that has a variety of attractions. The most attractive to our kids was the stuff designed for them.
Spinning |
Rope swing |
There's plenty of flora and fauna in Valley Gardens. We saw a cute family of ducks.
Out for a snack |
Snack shop |
We saw a wood carving that commemorated the
Tour de France, which was held in the area in 2014, just after we returned to America.
New to us |
We had a lovely afternoon visiting with friends and catching up on what they've been doing and telling them what we have been doing. The town is so lovely though not as lovely as the people.
Simply the best |
