After visiting the train station's frigid tower, we found a coffee shop to warm up with hot chocolates all around. Well, J didn't want hot chocolate so he had some cold apple juice from the convenience store next door. We had some baked treats too. Both kids got pumped full of sugar and they started wrestling right in the coffee shop!
Happy but crazy children
That was my cue to continue our adventures. We walked underneath the road and enjoyed as much of the Konigstrasse pedestrian shopping area as we could. The weather was bitterly cold, did I mention?
We did find some riding toys for the kids. It took them a minute to figure out how to make it go back and forth but they eventually did. You'd think they would remember from last year.
Looking for instructions
Going for a ride!
On our way back to the train station, we saw some street musicians and stopped to enjoy their music. Also, J and L put some money in their hat.
We also stopped in at the tourist information center. Asking for child-friendly, indoor options, the lady (who spoke perfect English) recommended a dinosaur museum that was only two blocks from one of the train stops. That sounded like a winner, so we went back to the train station, grabbed a quick bite to eat, and then were off to see some dinosaurs!
