On our third day in Minnesota, Auntie Gayle came over for breakfast. We all had a lot of fun playing with the kids and hanging out together.

Relaxing morning |
She gave the kids some presents, including the kid's bingo game shown in the picture above. Jacob and Lucy were very excited and immediately opened the game and gave bingo cards to everyone, including baby Ava and Isabella. At this point I tried to explain the rules, but no one was really interested. Ava and Isabella knew that the game was for tasting, Lucy knew it was a puzzle, and Jacob knew that the furniture was an obstacle course.
It was a bit nerve-wracking trying to keep Jacob from landing on unsuspecting cousins,
so he and I went to
Wallace Park, a nearby playground. Lucy was not interested in walking and stayed to play with Auntie Gayle while Mommy started packing for the trip to the cabin. Gayle and Lucy took some colored chalk (thank you Auntie Gayle!) outside and decorated the driveway to a high standard.
Meanwhile, Jacob and I had lots of fun at the playground.

Unsure of how this one worked |
He had enough by that point so we walked back to the house. We said our goodbyes to Auntie Gayle as we packed up the car and were ready to head off. We had some fun goodbyes!

The we were off to the grandparents' cabin up north. The drive went quickly and we were able to get there for lunch and other special surprises. More on that in the next post.
